Good people, good products, good stories

There’s something special about businesses that start from home.

Not from a boardroom or a big budget — just an idea, a kitchen table and someone willing to give it a go.

That’s something we all have in common.

Wick-Zen, @flowersforoliveandeve and @madeofearthpottery all started small — built slowly, creatively and with a whole lot of care. Now, we share a beautiful little creative space in Brunswick filled with flowers, pottery, candles, scent and good conversation.

The kind of place you walk into and instantly want to stay awhile.

At Wick-Zen, we’ve always believed good candles start with good ingredients — natural waxes, quality fragrances and vessels designed to live on long after the candle has burned. But behind every small business is something even more important: good people.

True story — @luxurycandlesupplies were there right at the beginning of my journey. Before Wick-Zen was really even a thing, they backed me, encouraged me and helped me take those first steps. That kind of support stays with you.

And honestly, this whole space is built on that same energy — collaboration over competition, sharing ideas, backing each other in and creating something meaningful together.

We’re also lucky to work alongside and source from other local businesses we genuinely love, including @santospiritoflowers and @northcotepottery.

Over the coming months, the space will continue to grow, with creative workshops and our very own candle bar opening soon — a tactile, sensory experience where you’ll be able to play with scent and pour your own candle.

So if you’re into home-grown, Aussie-made things crafted with care, come say hi. Wander the studio, meet the gang and watch this space 🤍
